I am a huge advocate for treating migraine with homeopathic and non-medication methods in conjunction with traditional Western medicine treatments. This product is so easy to use and works fast!  Just this morning, I woke up with a pretty mild migraine.  It became very windy out early on and whenever that happens, I wind up with a migraine. The pain wasn't severe enough for me to take my triptan and I did not feel like taking any over the counter naprosyn.  That's when I remembered that I had Stopain®! I

received some samples of the product in small packets that contain one dose each. All I had to do was open a packet, dispense the gel onto my fingertips, and apply it to the back of my neck and behind each ear. Do not apply product to the forehead or temples to avoid contact with the eyes and mucus membranes.  After about thirty minutes, my migraine was significantly reduced without having to take any type of medication. I was still experiencing some discomfort so I used the second packet.  It's been a few hours now and I am feeling much better than I did when I woke up this morning.

Why is Stopain® only applied to the back of the neck and behind the ears? Since these areas are where most migraines originate, regardless of where you experience migraine pain, the gel should be applied to these areas to experience the full benefits.  There are no added fragrances to the product, only the natural scent of Menthol, which is the active ingredient.  I typically am sensitive to Menthol, however, it did not bother me in any way.  It is not an overwhelming scent like mentholated vapor rub can be.  I enjoyed the cooling sensation of the gel and it provided a similar numbing feeling to that of using an ice pack.
